Man, I’ve been a bad blogger this month. It’s already the tenth, and I’ve published, what, three posts? Ye-e-e-e-ah . . .
Anyway, I have put together a list that I hope homeschoolers will relate to and find funny. (If you’re not homeschooled, this post might give you an look at some of the pros of homeschooling.) I know that the titles says “12 Things all Homeschoolers can Relate to,” but probably not every single homeschooler ever can relate to the things on this list. That’s because every homeschool family has a different set-up. My family happens to be pretty relaxed, but I know that some families are super-duper strict.
But I hope that all the homeschoolers that read this post can relate to at least a few of them.
- Well, I am weird, but I do have friends. They’re all weird, too. And homeschoolers.
I HAD A POINT.
2. I do love sleep. ;)
3. It’s true. So, so true.
4. I like to wave at them cheekily as they go by.
5. *rolls eyes*
6. White vans must be “in.” My mom has a silver Saturn car, though, so I don’t know where my family fits in. ;)
7. You said awesome, so here I am.
8.
9. XD
10.
11. My brother is going to public school next year. Not even jealous.
12. Guilty as charged.
I hope you enjoyed it!
If you’re a homeschooler, what’s your favorite thing about homeschooling? Public/private schoolers: have you ever wanted to be homeschooled?
I dip-dyed my hair with Kool-Aid today. :D I’ll post a how-to soon!

Sometimes I wish I was home schooled, but I would miss all the after school sports I do. I do wish I could sleep till 10:00 though. :)

I participate in sports! I’m on a soccer team, and I used to do gymnastics. Sleeping in late is pretty awesome. :)

I’ve always wanted to be home schooled! It sounds so laid-back; I know a family who are home schooled and they really like it. Although, I guess there are downsides too. Cool post! :)

Homeschooling is really awesome. True, their are downsides — like being stuck with your siblings all day! — but it’s still amazing. :)

The “one question reward” is me all the way! And we are home school rebels regarding the van too…we have a 7 inch lifted black excursion with 37 mud gripped tires….Not sure what degree of rebel that makes us haha
Love this post!

My whole family of 11 homeschools :) I relate to all of this :) Our van is white :) Sadly I don’t have a lot of friends and I’m kinda antisocial :) But I only see kids around my age at the church I go to with my dad every two weeks, so yeah..not a lot of socializing. I’ve never done a co-op though but I really want to!

Wow! I’d go crazy with that many siblings. XD I’m kind of antisocial, too — I’d much rather spend all day by myself than with people. Co-ops are really fun!

I can relate to every single one!!!! You don’t know how many times people ask me, “Oh, is school out?” And I just grin and say, “Nope, I’m homeschooled!!”

If anything, I’ve learned that friends come in all ages. In fact, you don’t always have to label interactions. Had a nice little chat with an old dude? Nice, you may have just made his day. Engaged in argument with a retired persecutor about the value of college education? Woah, perhaps you’ll both walk away having learned something new about yourself. My point is, the spur of the moment conversations you have can result in much more meaningful interactions. Interactions that you may not have had had you been sitting in a classroom.
