Flowers
This is a fuchsia flower. Pretty, huh?
Our garden is bursting with these gorgeous red clovers right now (they’re a cover crop).
Animals
My dad made these wooden chickens. :P (They totally count as animals.)
I found this little rabbit cowering near the tree house.
Turkeys! Their names are Dinner, Pilgrim, and Tom. XD
This one also counts as an animal, OK?
Robin!
This mama bird (dove?) made a nest in the flowering cherry tree.
There’s a robin nest in the pear tree . . .
. . . And another in a rose bush.
A finch is raising her babies on the front porch. :)
Misc.
My soccer ball. :)
Insects
I was experimenting with our telescopic camera lens today. It lets you zoom in a whole lot closer. That’s how I was able to get so much detail on this bee.
I saw this tiger swallowtail butterfly flitting through the garden and immediately began to photograph it.
I say “flitting,” though I really mean limping. Half of the butterfly’s right wing was missing. :/
Beautiful!

GAHHH, that was BEAUTIFUL, Loren! You should totally do these posts more often! I loved it! Aah, the flower pictures are lovely! Wow, your dad’s chickens are really good! Ooh, the nests are so pretty! Hmm… that’s so strange/neat/sad about the butterfly’s wing. But it was still beautiful! And for everything else I missed, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! This has to be one of my favorite photography posts! Now I’m jealous. >:( XD You’re such a good photographer!
Wow, that was a rant. XD

Haha! Thanks for the epic comment, Allison. :) I think YOU are a great photographer! Those photos you entered in the fair last year were *amazing.* Are you going to enter some this year, too?

Ha ha, yep that WAS an epic comment. XD You’re extremely welcome, Loren! If Megan ever does the “best of 2016” thing, I’m probably going to suggest this for best photography post! (Well, so far… XD ) Aww, thank you so much! That means a lot. :) Yep, I am most definitely going to enter some more photos in the fair this year, if possible! *Rubs hands together maliciously* XD Only I guess I won’t exactly be competing with you, but… Are you going to enter any? You should enter some from this post!

I’m planning on entering pictures, too. *glares fiercely* It shall be a battle between you, Megan, and me.

HA HA! *Glares even fiercely-er* (Or more fiercely, whatever. XD ) But as I said, I’m not going to be in the same age-group as you this year, so… I’LL WIN THEM ALL! *Evil laugh* XD XD XD Juuuust kidding.

Ah, well. You can win your age group, I’ll win mine (and maybe allow Megan *one* award). Deal? *extends hand*

Deal. No, actually Megan has to win TWO awards *handshake* XD ;)

Gorgeous photos Loren! I love the bird’s nests and the bees and butterflies. :) Oh, and the bird sitting on the nest is a mourning dove. :)
