Where do I See Myself in Ten Years?

10-yrs-tag

Nabila at Hot Town, Cool Girl posted this several months ago. The idea has stuck with me ever since, and I’m  finally getting around to posting this. ;)

Where do you see yourself job-wise?

Let’s see. I’ll be in college in ten years, I think — or recently out of it — so I probably won’t have my dream job (which is being a writer and travel photographer). Most likely, I’ll be working at Hot Topic, because then I would get employee discounts. See, I’m clever.

Do you see yourself married?

Nah. I wouldn’t want to be married in college. That would be kind of weird. Because when you’re in college, you’re a brand new adult, you’re finally able to go wherever you want. And I, personally, hope to travel a lot, either by myself or with my best friend. Keeping a healthy marriage going at the same time seems a bit impossible.

boy, brother, child

Do you see yourself having kids?

Nope. No way. I know lots of girls my age love little kids and want to be babysitters, but I don’t really like babies. If I do ever have kids, it would be to prove my mom wrong about stuff (I don’t really know how to explain it, but my mom will understand).
I would want to have little boys, and I guess one girl.
apartment, bricks, building

What kind of house would you live in?

I will probably be in an apartment, and I like that idea. Apartments are cozy, and since they’re not very big, they aren’t terribly hard to clean! Maybe I’ll share with my friend Izzy, since we want to go to the same college. I want pretty yet simple wall art, lots of blues and grays, and a comfy office with big windows to write in.

apple, blogging, computer

Where do you see yourself blog-wise?

Hopefully Let’s Be Lost will still be going, because I really do love blogging, even if I disappear from time to time.

Do you see yourself having a pet?

Hopefully! A cat is preferable, but if I can’t have one (if my apartment landowner doesn’t allow furry animals), at least a turtle. One named Dribble.

adventure, Baltic Sea, car

Do you see yourself having a car?

My best friend Izzy is obsessed (I’m not exaggerating) with cars; she knows exactly what hers is going to look like, and she wants to get her drivers license as soon as she can. But I’ve never had a great desire for a car. So I’m thinking no, unless my parents suddenly get rich and buy a car for me.

Does this look like fun to you? Feel free to use these questions to make a similar post on your own blog!

Sweet. In ten years, I want to be at least half way to being a midwife, have a side job at the pregnancy center near by, and probably still living at home. I probably won’t be married, or with kids, because I’ll only be in my early twenties. ;) I’m hoping to do my world traveling in a few years, because my Oma wants to take me and Ivy on trips to cool places. :) And I hope to have a cat, or a poodle.

This is a great idea!! I would like to do a post like this. ^-^ I agree with you wholeheartedly on the baby thing. My mom is like “You will want babies when you are older.” But….no…. Me + kids = recipe for disaster. I don’t do well with kids. XD ~Marissa

This is a very cool post! I’ll have to do a post like this on my blog sometime! I think it’d be fun to work at hot topic (I LOVE HOT TOPIC!!!!) Currently I’m working at chick-fil-a (this is my 5th week and I’m loving it so far, my sister works there too so it’s pretty cool)
I would definitely live in an apartment with my younger sister, we want to do the same things so we’ll probably go to the same college together. We both also want to go to Japan. So yeah, I’m very excited about the future :)

Oh wow. This is incredible! Once you get to my age, ten years isn’t really that much anymore, but you forget how many amazing changes you go through in those first years. Am I where I wanted to be ten or even twenty years ago? I don’t know. I think so. I’m where I want to be right now, so I guess that’s what matters. Definitely go do college/university before getting married and having kids. Best years of my life, and I couldn’t have had them if I had a husband and kids to look after. Oh I do hope that all of your goals and dreams work out for you! Cheers! :)
