Backwards Book #2

Hey, guys! I’ve got another Backwards Book for you today.

If you don’t know how to participate, here are the rules:

  • I create a book cover and post it.
  • You write a summary based on the cover.
  • Post the summary in the comments.
  • If you like your story idea, write it!

Here’s the cover:

backwards-book-2

Stop reading, scroll straight to the comments, and type up a summary. When you’re done with that, come back up to the post to read my idea!

My summary:

We Were Strangers

A young man keeps popping up in Eden Pike’s life. She sees him at college, at her job, on the bus, skulking outside her apartment. Then one day, he disappears. The only sign that he ever existed is the note and photograph of him that Eden discovers in her mailbox. His last message draws Eden out of her sheltered life and thrusts her into a perilous quest to find him. And, as it turns out, the stranger isn’t the only one went missing . . . someone close to Eden’s heart has vanished as well.

I look forward to reading your summaries!

 Loren

  5. Sara says:

We were strangers, yet there seemed to be a special bond between us. Smiles shared, glances exchanged, there was a certain knowledge between us. She had never said a word to me, although we had seen each other quite a bit. Strangers, but yet still friends. For a while, she came less and less. I smiled at her more and more, but all she did was look at me sorrowfully. After a while, she didn’t come at all. I wondered, day after day, whatever had happened to her. I wondered whether I’d ever see her again. Would I? One day I found out it all…

Molly has always been outspoken, courageous and optimistic. She likes everyone at school and everyone likes her – except for one boy named Adam. Adam has always been an outsider, different, and alone. He doesn’t socialize or talk to anyone, and he doesn’t like many people.
One day, years later, when Molly has finished college, Adam shows up at her apartment door with a letter and a picture. The two embark on an mystery filled, action packed adventure involving lies, stolen money, and internationally trained thieves. The mystery is solved after weeks of investigating, and Adam and Molly plan to go back to their regular lives. But, Molly feels something deeper – something more in her heart than just friendship for Adam. Can she stop him before it’s too late, or will Adam leave Molly’s life forever?

“We were strangers. Alone, lost. The day we met at that train station, our lives were changed. Forever.” Laine and ‘Lijah are almost complete opposites. The only thing they have in common is the secret that they share, the secret that has brought them together. But are they really strangers? And are they truly as strange as they seem?
Huh. That was weird. XD I like your summary, Loren!

    I love these. Here’s mine:

The sky could not be seen as a layer of smog blocked it from our view. We were crouching next to an abandoned and demolished building A police car’s siren could be heard from the distance and a couple of trees were on fire.
I panted, trying to empty the smoke from my lungs. Taking deep breaths, I turned to the figure beside me
He had fair hair and a permanently tan skin. His eyes were brow and there was a light smattering of freckles across his nose. He had a seemingly lanky frame; though I knew the strength he could possess f he time calls for it.
Who is this boy, you may ask. I don’t know. We were merly strangers.
