Where do I See Myself in Ten Years?

10-yrs-tag

Nabila at Hot Town, Cool Girl posted this several months ago. The idea has stuck with me ever since, and I’m  finally getting around to posting this. ;)

Where do you see yourself job-wise?

Let’s see. I’ll be in college in ten years, I think — or recently out of it — so I probably won’t have my dream job (which is being a writer and travel photographer). Most likely, I’ll be working at Hot Topic, because then I would get employee discounts. See, I’m clever.

Wedding Couple Sitting on Green Grass in Front of Body of Water at Sunset

Do you see yourself married?

Nah. I wouldn’t want to be married in college. That would be kind of weird. Because when you’re in college, you’re a brand new adult, you’re finally able to go wherever you want. And I, personally, hope to travel a lot, either by myself or with my best friend. Keeping a healthy marriage going at the same time seems a bit impossible.

boy, brother, child

Do you see yourself having kids?

Nope. No way. I know lots of girls my age love little kids and want to be babysitters, but I don’t really like babies. If I do ever have kids, it would be to prove my mom wrong about stuff (I don’t really know how to explain it, but my mom will understand).
I would want to have little boys, and I guess one girl.
apartment, bricks, building

What kind of house would you live in?

I will probably be in an apartment, and I like that idea. Apartments are cozy, and since they’re not very big, they aren’t terribly hard to clean! Maybe I’ll share with my friend Izzy, since we want to go to the same college. I want pretty yet simple wall art, lots of blues and grays, and a comfy office with big windows to write in.

apple, blogging, computer

Where do you see yourself blog-wise?

Hopefully Let’s Be Lost will still be going, because I really do love blogging, even if I disappear from time to time.

Brown and Black Tabby Cat on Black Leather Textile With Black Shadow

Do you see yourself having a pet?

Hopefully! A cat is preferable, but if I can’t have one (if my apartment landowner doesn’t allow furry animals), at least a turtle. One named Dribble.

adventure, Baltic Sea, car

Do you see yourself having a car?

My best friend Izzy is obsessed (I’m not exaggerating) with cars; she knows exactly what hers is going to look like, and she wants to get her drivers license as soon as she can. But I’ve never had a great desire for a car. So I’m thinking no, unless my parents suddenly get rich and buy a car for me.

Does this look like fun to you? Feel free to use these questions to make a similar post on your own blog!

Infinity Dreams Tag (2)

I think Emily from A Purpose and a Promise nominated me for this award a really long time ago. It might have been a different blogger, I don’t really know, but I think it was Emily.

What is your favorite name that starts with K?

Kacey and Kelsie are two of my favorites. :)

What are your birthday traditions?

I usually have my two best friends spend the night and then head up to the American Girl Store in D.C. for a shopping spree. Oh, and I just started a tradition where I give a pineapple as a birthday present (enjoy yours, Megan!).

Do you prefer to write by hand, or type things up?

Type. Most definitely. My pencil can’t keep with my mind when I’m writing by hand.

Do you collect anything?

American Girl dolls! I have twelve total, and have bought most of them myself. I blog about them at Happy House of AG. I also collect notebooks (sooo pretty) and I have to collect 50 stamps for an AHG badge.

What is your least favorite chore?

Erm . . . putting clothes away. I can do my laundry at least four times before finally putting away all my clothes. XD

How long have you had your blog, and what is one tip you would share?

I’ve been running this blog since July 2015 — a little over a year. But I started blogging in March 2014, when I started my doll blog.

As for a tip . . . engage your readers and make internet friends! They’re so encouraging, and it’s a lot of fun getting to know them. :)

Do you prefer to read short blog posts, or long ones, and why?

Sometimes I don’t have enough time to read super longs, so I only end up reading about half. But when I have enough focus and time to read a complete long post, I enjoy it. So, I don’t know, I guess it really depends what the post is about.

What is your favorite month of the year?

Um . . . maybe September! Fall soccer season starts, AHG starts, co-op starts, my Youth Group’s weekend retreat . . . lots of fun stuff goes on in September, though that’s when my school usually starts.

If you were given $100, what would you do with it?

BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS.

Also fandom merch.

If you could visit one fictional world, which would it be?

I’m going to be clever here and say The Land of Stories world. They have potions that turn books into portals! I would then use those potions to open the portals to the Percy Jackson series, Emily Windsnap series, Keeper of the Lost Cities series, etc.

Do you write your blog posts way ahead of time, or do you tend to write them on the spur of the moment?

When I get an idea, I sit right down and start writing . . . then I get distracted and the post goes unfinished (this one, for example, has been a draft for months!). But if I have nothing in my draft box, I will power through that post and finish it up so I can publish it.

You guys can just answer Emily’s questions, because I’m too lazy to come up with my one. Procrastinator’s life, baby.

The 30 Song Challenge

30 Song Challenge

*tag pic by Megan*

Hey, guys! Kellyn from Reveries posted about The 30 Song Challenge, and tagged anyone who wanted to do it. So here I am. :D

Though it’s really more of The 29 Song Challenge, since number twelve seems to be missing.

1) Your favorite song

AAAGH NOOO. Don’t do this to me. It’s almost as stressful as “What’s your favorite book?”

2) Your least favorite song

Baby, it’s Cold Outside. I heard this on the radio during Christmas about a thousand times. The same version. Played over and over.

3) A song that makes you happy

Gold by Owl City.

Shout out to the dreams you’ll chase
Shout out to the hearts you’ll break
Nothing’s gonna stop you now
I guess you better be going

4) A song that makes you sad

This Isn’t the End by Owl City. The first time I listened to it, I got really sad (’cause it’s a sad song!), but it’s also uplifting.

5) A song that reminds you of someone

If My Heart Was a House by Owl City. It’s super slow and pretty and reminds me of my friends.

6) A song that reminds you of somewhere

Lost Boy by Ruth B. My friend Izzy introduced me to this song. Reminds me of Neverland, where else?

7) A song that reminds you of a certain event

Let’s go celebrate Christmas

With everyone, everywhere, everyday

Let’s go celebrate Christmaaaaaaas

In Pineville, USA!

That annoying song. It reminds of Christmas.

8) A song that you know all the words to

idk. I guess I know the lyrics to lots of songs, though I can’t name one off the top of my head. But when the music starts, I just sort of know the words.

9) A song that you can dance to

NO. I do not dance.

Well, OK. Out on the Verge, maybe, if I’m by myself.

10) A song that makes you fall asleep

Fireflies and Vanilla Twilight (by Owl City, duh) are both nice, slow-ish songs.

11) A song from your favorite band

Just a song? Not my favorite song from that band? OK.

Kamikaze by Owl City. It has a completely different feel from his other songs.

13) A song from a band you hate

Ugh — Hello by Adelle. I really can’t stand that song, though the parody Hello From The Dark Side is OK.

14) A song that no one would expect you to love

Wake Me Up by Avicii. Why is this surprising? Because it’s something other than Owl City.

15) A song that describes you

Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Lorde. What? I have big dreams. ☺

16) A song that you used to love but now you hate

Should’ve Said No by Taylor Swift. I used to belt this out in the kitchen with a wooden spoon while my older brother crawled around my legs pretending to be a baby.

17) A song that you hear often on the radio

I don’t really listen to the radio very much. My mom never finds music that I actually know. Currently, our radio is stuck on a rock station, which isn’t too bad. Between the songs, when it was saying what station we were on, the guy said, “This is something something rock, not that other crap.”

18) A song that you wish you heard on the radio

ANYTHING OWL CITY. COME ON, GUYS, TAYLOR SWIFT ISN’T THE ONLY SINGER.

19) A song from your favorite album

Wolf Bite or Up All Night from Owl City’s Ultraviolet album. They’re so catchy!

20) A song that you listen to when you’re angry

I don’t know . . . Probably Phoenix by Fall Out Boy.

21) A song that you listen to when you’re happy

Unbelievable  by Owl City.

22) A song that you listen to when you’re sad

To the Sky by Owl City. It’s uplifting.

23) A song that you want to play at your wedding

For the Dancing and the Dreaming from How to Train Your Dragon 2 and If I Didn’t Have You from Monsters Inc.

24) A song that you want to play at your funeral

Ooh . . . how about Centuries by Fall Out Boy? That would be cool.

25) A song that makes you laugh

I’m On Vacation by Rhett & Link. The music video . . . it kills me. Oh, and The Once-ler’s Traveling Madness, a song that was deleted from The Lorax. You can find it on YouTube.

26) A song that you can play on an instrument

HAHAHAHA.

Camptown Races.

I am skilled with the flute.

27) A song that you wish you could play

*cough* Literally anything. *cough*

28) A song in a foreign language that you like

O Tannenbaum. It’s Oh, Christmas Tree in German, and it’s really pretty. My mom used to sing it to me when I was little.

29) A song from your childhood

THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS THEME SONG. I found out that they have The Magic School Bus on Netflix and I watched a few episodes. XD Ah, memories . . .

So strap your bones right to the seat
Come on in and don’t be shy —
Just to make your day complete
You might get baked into a pie!

On THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS . . .

30) Your favorite song at this time last year

Counting Stars by OneRepublic. Still love this song.

Well, that was fun! If you actually read the whole thing, you now know that I REALLY love Owl City.

I tag anyone that has listened to an Owl City song!

Describe Me Challenge

Describe Me Challenge

A long time ago when the earth was green, Clara @ Clara’s Craft Corner nominated me for the Describe Me challenge. Despite the fact that I have many other, far more interesting things to post, I’m doing this instead.

-Thank the blogger that nominated you

AY YO, CLARA. THANK YA VERY MUCH.

-Choose one song that describes your music tastes

I actually like lots of different music genres, so picking one song that describes my taste in pretty difficult. :P But I like songs with the feel of Demons by Imagine Dragons, Phoenix by Fall Out Boy, or really anything by Owl City.

-Choose one outfit that describes your fashion tastes

Somewhere around here:

-Choose one meal (includes drink) that describes your taste for food

My taste for food is food. Duh.

Not just for kids -- Mac & cheese pizza recipe, Mmmmm http://thestir.cafemom.com/food_party/160083/mac_cheese_pizza_recipe_will:

Ah, well. My favorite food is macaroni pizza. As for a drink, I like hot tea. But macaroni pizza and tea together would be kind of gross.

-Choose one book that describes you/changed your life

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, definitely. It introduced me to fandoms. And now I am in many book fandoms.

-Choose one quote that describes what you want for your life.

A girl who reads is a girl that will rule the world — by me.

No? OK, I’ll find a different one.

 :

Isn’t this great? I mean, even famous writers were once kids who cried over character development.

-Nominate 5 people

Describe the Days of the Week as People Tag

image

Lily @ Uniquely Myself tagged me for the “Describe the Days of the Week as People” tag. When I was reading Lily’s answers, I thought the tag looked really cool, so I was pretty excited when I saw that she had tagged me! Thanks, Lily.

The rules:

Thank the person who tagged you.
Describe each day of the week as if it was a person.
Tag as many people as you like.
Have fun!

Here we go . . .

Monday: Monday is a teen girl who’s always trying to make a good impression. She spends a lot of time in the morning picking out her clothes, doing her hair, etc., so she’s often late to school. She hates getting up in the morning, but once she’s up, Monday is very awake. Despite her best efforts, she tends to complain often.

Tuesday: Tuesday is a relaxed young boy. He loves playing outside and is really messy. He’s very aware of his friend’s needs, and always finds ways to cheer them up. Tuesday wants to be a soldier when he grows up. He collects Nerf guns, and always suggests a Nerf battle when his friends are over.

Wednesday: Wednesday is an old man with a scruffy gray beard and watery blue eyes. He used to be a sailor. He tells elaborate stories about his days out at sea. Wednesday can often be found playing sad tunes on his guitar by the dock. He appears gruff and cold, but under his tough outer layer, Wednesday is a sweet man who enjoys the company of children.

Thursday: Thursday is a quiet girl who’s always daydreaming about the future. She tends to zone out, which gets her in trouble with teachers. She often doodles flowers, leaves, and bugs in the margins of her notebooks. Thursday lives in the woods and likes reading by the brook.

Friday: Friday is an athletic boy in high school. He’s very laid back and likes making people smile. When he’s not participating in sports, Friday can be found helping out at the nearest retirement home, reading books to the elderly. He’s the oldest child in his enormous family, and enjoys playing with his younger siblings. Although he’s one of the most popular people at school, he often feels left out when he’s at home.

Saturday: Saturday is a fun-loving mom who laughs a lot. She constantly takes her children out of school to drag them along on crazy adventures. Her house is covered in souvenirs from her trips around the globe. Saturday is always cooking weird meals from other countries. She gives each of her children a brand new journal before they go on trips — travel journals, she says, to document their experiences. Saturday has an entire bookshelf dedicated to her own numerous travel journals.

Sunday: Sunday is a proper old woman with carefully groomed white hair. She spends her days organizing book clubs, charities, and fundraisers. Sunday enjoys chatting with her old lady friends at the park, and watching cooking shows. She has a sweet granddaughter who always brings Sunday bouquets of pansies, daisies, or buttercups. Sunday presses the flowers and uses them to decorate her scrapbooks.

I tag . . .

Anyone that’s a writer! If you enjoy writing and think this tag looks fun, please do it!

BUH-BYE.
