hello, friends! christmas always sneaks up on me, and this year is no exception. it’s in sixteen days and i’m not feeling very festive, and i haven’t finished shopping for gifts, either. i know what i’m getting everyone, but apparently you need money to buy stuff? who knew. luckily for me, i just got $50 from my grandpa, so that should help.

(also!! it’s snowing right now!! i’ll try to share photos of it and some more christmas-themed posts over the next two weeks.)

i’m a bit sick of traditional christmas carols, so i made a playlist for myself of (mostly) pop punk holiday songs. ones in bold are explicit. enjoy. :)

my friend b came over last month and helped decorate the christmas tree. neither of us can keep our hands off the camera, which means we got a lot of crappy pictures of each other. she suggested that we make memes out of the photos, which was a lot more fun than it should have been. so here are a few really awful christmas memes for your enjoyment (we made more, but they used pictures of me, so i guess you don’t get to see those).

    My parents tend to do this thing where they give me “meh” gifts and my brothers great gifts, only to reveal they’ve hidden an epic present somewhere. It’s very intense and meme-worthy, hint hint.

      my parents do the same thing! they get my brother lots of expensive video games and sometimes swords, too, and they make me go on a scavenger hunt to find my big gift. last year, i found my ds in a wood stove in the basement.

    Also I know what you mean. I hate how the traditional Christmas carols are so traditional that everyone tries to do an original take on them which mostly entails lots of wavering voices and general derivation from the normal tune until you wonder what carol you’re even listening to. And I’m like, “You know what would be original? TO JUST SING THE SONG NORMALLY. -_-” ANYWAY, now that that rant is over, I have some non-traditional Christmas song suggestions: “Text Me Merry Christmas,” and I think it’s called “The 12 Days of Christmas Medley” or something like that, both by Straight No Chaser. THEY ARE SO FUNNY.
    Eh heh heh, the memes… XD My favorite is the first.

    Oh, now I have some new Christmas tunes. Thank you! I used to love the traditional stuff but now any one of those songs becomes an overnight ear worm, driving me crazy.
